I think you meant to type "macchiato". Now I've heard of latte macchiato (mostly warm milk with a bit of espresso) but I've never heard of espresso macchiato, but it could be due to the drinking habits in the peculiar corner (small town in the Peligna Valley of Abruzzi) of Italy where my mother came from.
