the Linux Professionals Institute (lpi.org) is a solid grounding and a recognized certification. Then you could go for a RCE (Redhat Certified Engineer), but I don't know how one would go about it.
Thanks. I did some research and came to the same conclusion. For anyone who is interested LPI has affiliates who administer the exams all over the world. I could not find night classes though. To attend an examination you just have to get an LPI ID, find a Pearson VUE center and book the exam. LPI site says that the exam is $100.00 USD.
I would have liked to attend classes because of networking for a job.
